The Grandstream GHP621 is a compact black hotel IP phone built for guest rooms and serviced apartments: 2 SIP lines, one PoE network port and no screen at all. That last part is deliberate. Guests lift the handset, press the service they want and never meet a menu. The same phone works just as well in hospital patient rooms, student and staff housing, and residential compounds.

Service keys with your hotel's logo

You set the ten speed dial keys from the web interface: reception, room service, restaurant, housekeeping, maintenance. The swappable faceplate lets you print your logo and service names in Arabic and English, so the phone matches the room instead of looking like office kit. A dedicated Voice Mail key and message indicator tell guests when the front desk has left them a message.

One cable per room

The GHP621 draws power and data from a single cable on a PoE switch. There is no wall plug or adapter by the bed, and nothing for a guest to unplug to charge a laptop. That keeps cabling tidy on fit-outs and refurbishments. Because this is the PoE-only model, no adapter comes in the box; for a room without a PoE switch, a single PoE injector does the job.

Small things guests notice

The handset delivers HD wideband audio, and the HD speaker handles hands-free calls. It is hearing aid compatible (HAC) with a volume boost, which helps older guests and anyone with hearing loss. The USB-C port means a guest can top up their phone without hunting for a socket near the bed.

Management and security for IT

Two hundred rooms means two hundred phones. The GHP621 supports bulk provisioning through GDMS, TR-069 or AES-256 encrypted XML files, and boots in about 15 seconds after a power cut. Security covers secure boot, a random default password, a unique certificate per device, SRTP, TLS and 802.1X.
