A built-in scanner instead of a separate terminal

The CMOS scanner at the top reads 1D codes such as EAN-13 and Code128 and 2D codes such as QR, Data Matrix and PDF417. Scan keys on both sides let you trigger it with your thumb, and results go to your app as keyboard input or through other output modes. It is a short-range scanner; Grandstream says not to expect reliable reads from a meter away. NFC adds MIFARE cards and NFC tags.
