Product description

The Grandstream 5V/0.6A PSU is the 600 mA adapter for GRP2600 Essential and Carrier-Grade phones and the GXP1600 range. You will mostly need it for P models such as the GRP2602P, which ship without one and expect PoE.

====

The Grandstream 5V/0.6A PSU supplies 5 V at 600 mA, the input Grandstream specifies for GRP2600 Essential phones and the GXP1600 range. P models such as the GRP2602P leave the factory without an adapter, so this is the part to add wherever a desk has no PoE.

Phones that take the 5V/0.6A PSU

  • GRP2601, GRP2602 and GRP2604, including P, W and G variants.
  • GRP2603P.
  • GRP2612 and GRP2613 with their variants.
  • GXP1625 and GXP1628.

A desk out of PoE reach

Picture a Jeddah office that bought 20 GRP2602P phones because its core switch supports PoE, then needed one more handset in a guard room or warehouse served by a basic switch. One adapter fixes it with no switch upgrade. These phones draw under 3 W, well within this unit's rating.

5V/0.6A or 5V/1A?

The voltage is the same, but the 5V/1A model supplies more current and serves the HT801, HT802 and DP750. GRP2600 and GXP1600 datasheets call for 600 mA, so this is the unit for those phones. Never use a 12 V adapter on them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the GRP2602P include a power adapter?

No. The GRP2602 datasheet notes the adapter is not included with the GRP2602P, which runs on 802.3af PoE. This 5 V, 600 mA unit is its official rating.

Will it run a GRP2614 or GXP2170?

No. Those phones need 12 V at 1 A, so use the Grandstream 12V/1A PSU.

Is it enough for a GRP2612W using Wi-Fi?

Yes. Grandstream's power consumption page lists under 2.2 W for the GRP2612W on an adapter, below this unit's 3 W.
