Product description
The Grandstream GXV3470 is an Android video IP phone with a 7-inch touchscreen, 16 lines, Wi-Fi 6 and HDMI-out to push calls to a larger display. It is a good fit for manager offices and desks without a network drop.
====
The Grandstream GXV3470 sits in the middle of the GXV34x0 range: a 7-inch touchscreen, Android, 16 lines and Wi-Fi 6. It puts the company phone and a small screen for video meetings and apps on one desk. We see it on manager desks where video calls are routine, and in offices where running a network cable is a hassle.
Grandstream GXV3470 key specs
- 7-inch IPS touchscreen at 800×1280.
- Quad-core 2.0GHz processor with 4GB RAM and 16GB storage.
- Tiltable 2MP camera with privacy shutter.
- 16 lines and up to 16 SIP accounts.
- Dual Gigabit PoE/PoE+ ports, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0 and HDMI-out.
Wi-Fi 6 for desks without a cable
Plenty of buildings have a manager office in a corner the cabling never reached, or desks that move after a refit. The GXV3470 connects over dual-band 2T2R Wi-Fi 6, so you place it where you like and plug in the adapter that ships in the box. If a cable is there, the two Gigabit ports with PoE/PoE+ pass the network through to the PC as well. Wi-Fi Display and AirPlay are supported for wireless screen sharing.
Put the call on a bigger screen
HDMI-out connects the phone to the office TV or a small meeting-room projector, so everyone sees the far end on a large display instead of crowding around the handset. Video uses H.264 at up to 720p and 30 fps, with 3-way video conferences and audio conferences of up to 10 parties.
Android with 4GB RAM
The GXV3470 has twice the memory of the GXV3450, which helps when you run third-party Android apps or GS Market apps next to your calls. Controls are touch-only: two volume keys and three Android keys, with the larger screen doing the rest. Audio comes from two microphones with Noise Shield 2.0, plus an RJ9 headset jack and a 3.5mm port.
How Saudi offices use it
- Executive offices at companies in Riyadh and Jeddah.
- Department heads in hospitals who need face-to-face calls between wards.
- Project and contractor site offices that run on Wi-Fi.
- Small meeting rooms where a TV connected to the phone is enough.
Compatibility and management
Standard SIP means it registers to Grandstream UCM, Yeastar and other SIP PBXs, and IT can provision it in bulk through GDMS, TR-069 or encrypted XML. Security covers TLS, SRTP, 802.1x and secure boot. One practical point: on standard 802.3af PoE the USB and HDMI ports are disabled, so if you plan to use HDMI-out, power the phone from a PoE+ switch or the included adapter.
GXV3470 vs GXV3450 vs GXV3480
The GXV3450 has a 5-inch screen, Wi-Fi 5, physical keys and GBX20 support, built for reception. The GXV3480 brings an 8-inch 10-point touchscreen, 1080p video and HDMI-in to share a laptop during a call. The GXV3470 sits between them: 7-inch screen, Wi-Fi 6 and HDMI-out without HDMI-in, with video up to 720p.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can the GXV3470 run over Wi-Fi without a network cable?
Yes. It has dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and runs on the included power adapter, no network cable required.
Why doesn't HDMI work on PoE?
Per Grandstream's guide, USB and HDMI are disabled on standard 802.3af PoE and work on 802.3at PoE+ or the included adapter.
How is it different from the GXV3480?
The GXV3480 has an 8-inch 10-point touchscreen, 1080p video, an extra HDMI-in and 2000 contacts. The GXV3470 does 720p and HDMI-out only.
