Product description

The Uniview PKC2641-Z100-IR-P is a 4MP LPR camera with the longest lens in the PKC2641 range (10-50mm), shooting up to 60 fps and reading plates at up to 80 km/h. Two relays, Wiegand output and 512GB microSD support make it a fit for distant lanes and access control projects.

====

Reach is the headline with the Uniview PKC2641-Z100-IR-P. Its 10-50mm lens is the longest in the PKC2641 series, so it reads plates from further out than any sibling while recording 4MP at up to 60 fps. The PKC2641 platform also adds integration hardware the PKC2640 lacks, namely Wiegand output, a second relay and a second RS485 port, which lets it plug into access control systems on larger projects instead of working alone.

Uniview PKC2641-Z100-IR-P reach and framing

Horizontal view runs from 34.3° at the wide end to 8.7° fully zoomed. That narrow view helps when the camera sits well away from the lane, on a gantry or tall pole, or when you want the plate read far enough ahead of the gate to prepare the opening. On regular roads it reads at speeds up to 80 km/h.

  • 1/1.8-inch 4MP sensor with 120 dB WDR.
  • 2688×1520 capture at up to 60 fps.
  • Auto shutter from 1/500 to 1/100000 s to freeze moving vehicles.

Two relays and Wiegand output

This model has two relays (AC 125V/0.3A or DC 30V/1A), two Boolean inputs, two RS485 ports and a Wiegand output. Plate results can go straight to an access controller over Wiegand, or the camera can drive two devices on its own. The 20,000-plate allowlist and blocklist stay, with four barrier policies and a selectable output, so entry decisions are made on the camera even if the server link drops.

Night and difficult light

Built-in illumination uses 5 LEDs reaching 50 m with automatic switching. Sensitivity reaches 0.002 lux at F1.7. Image tools target tricky scenes: HLC tames strong headlights, BLC handles backlight, digital defog helps on dusty days and 3D DNR cleans up night footage.

Storage, power and housing

Captures are saved to microSD up to 512GB with ANR, double the PKC2640 limit. Networking is 10/100 Mbps, and power comes from 802.3at (Class 4) PoE or 12V DC with a 20 W maximum. The housing is IP67 and IK10 rated, weighs 2.02 kg and runs from -40°C to 60°C, and a 3-axis bracket and junction box are included. It is NDAA compliant, with ONVIF Profiles S, G and T plus SDK and API support.

Saudi applications

  • Industrial city and dry port entrances with the camera on a high gate gantry.
  • Long internal roads in large compounds ahead of a checkpoint.
  • Access control projects linking plates to an existing card system over Wiegand.
  • Airport and hospital car parks with several entry lanes.

PKC2641-Z100-IR-P or PKC2640@Z80-P?

The PKC2640@Z80-P has an 8-32mm lens, 30 fps, one relay, one RS485 port, up to 256GB storage and a BNC output. The PKC2641-Z100-IR-P stretches to 10-50mm, doubles the frame rate to 60 fps, and adds a second relay, a second RS485 port, Wiegand and 512GB storage, at a slightly lighter 2.02 kg versus 2.1 kg. Choose the Z80 for a standard single-barrier entrance and the Z100 for long distances or tying into an existing access system.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Wiegand output add to an LPR camera?

It passes the plate result to an access controller the way a card reader would, so vehicle entry joins your existing card system.

What plates does the camera read?

It recognizes alphanumeric plates by default.
