Product description

The Uniview IPC8544EA-KM-I1 delivers one 180° scene at 16MP (4800×2688) from a 1/1.8" LightHunter sensor, with IR up to 50 m. Rated IP67 and built to run from -40°C to 70°C, it suits car parks, yards and building facades.

====

The Uniview IPC8544EA-KM-I1 gives you one wide scene: 180° at 16MP, like a phone panorama shot that runs around the clock. Fix it to a building wall or a pole and it covers a car park or yard from the right edge to the left in a straight 16:9 picture, without the curved circle you get from fisheye cameras.

IPC8544EA-KM-I1 key specifications

An OmniView model with Uniview's LightHunter low-light technology (also listed as UNV IPC8544EA-KM-I1), here are its key figures:

  • 1/1.8" sensor, main stream 4800×2688 at 30 fps.
  • Fixed 2.8 mm F1.6 lens: 180° horizontal, 90° vertical.
  • Color down to 0.001 lux; IR night vision up to 50 m.
  • IP67 and 6 kV surge protection.
  • Operating range -40°C to 70°C.

Why 16MP across 180°?

Spreading an image over 180 degrees needs high resolution to keep the edges sharp. You get 4800 horizontal pixels, and the DORI figures give detection at 63 m, recognition at 12.6 m and identification at 6.3 m.

Thanks to the large LightHunter sensor, footage stays in color under weak street lighting, and in total darkness the IR takes over out to 50 m.

Built for heat and dust

The operating range runs from -40°C to 70°C. That matters on sun-exposed facades in Riyadh and Dammam in summer, and on humid Jeddah mornings. The IP67 rating keeps dust and water out.

Interfaces and power

Power it with 802.3at PoE or a 24 V AC or DC supply; maximum draw is 23 W. You get a gigabit port, 2 alarm inputs and 1 output, audio in and out for two-way audio through an external mic and speaker, RS485 and a microSD slot. The housing measures 258.8 × 211 × 115 mm and weighs 2.271 kg.

Where it fits in Saudi Arabia

  • Residential building and compound car parks: one wall-mounted camera sees the full row of bays.
  • School playgrounds: the yard and the main gate in one scene.
  • Warehouse and factory yards: truck movement and loading areas.
  • Istirahas and farms: the large yard and the entrance from one point.

Compatibility and software

ONVIF Profiles S, G and T, plus API and SDK, let it work with Uniview NVRs and ONVIF-compliant systems. View it in the UNV-Link and UNV-Link Pro apps, EZStation or a web browser.

Installation tips

Aim the camera so the car park or yard sits in the middle of the view, and use up to 8 privacy masks to block neighbors' windows or anything you should not record. Since the identify distance is 6.3 m, add a fixed camera at the gate if you need faces or number plates.

IPC8544EA-KM-I1 or IPC8645EA-ADZKM-I1?

The IPC8645EA-ADZKM-I1 carries four 5MP sensors with 2.7 to 13.5 mm lenses and 5X optical zoom, each aimed in its own direction, plus people counting, human/vehicle classified alerts and IK10, but it needs 802.3bt PoE (31 W). Choose the IPC8544EA-KM-I1 when you want a yard or facade as one continuous scene, lower power draw (23 W) and a wider temperature range up to 70°C.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the IPC8544EA-KM-I1 image round like a fisheye?

No. It outputs a straight 16:9 image covering 180° horizontally and 90° vertically at 4800×2688.

Can it handle Saudi summer heat?

Its operating range is -40°C to 70°C, with IP67 protection against dust and water.

What PoE standard does it need?

802.3at PoE, since it draws up to 23 W, or a 24 V AC or DC power supply.
