1979.44

Product description

The Grandstream GXW4232 connects 32 analog phones or faxes to an IP PBX over a Gigabit port, with 32 front RJ11 jacks and two rear 50-pin Telco connectors. It is built for mid-size hotels, small hospitals and office buildings with many analog handsets.

====

The Grandstream GXW4232 is built for buildings that already have dozens of analog phones wired in, such as a 30-room hotel in Makkah or Madinah. It connects 32 phones or fax machines to an IP PBX over one Gigabit port, so you keep the room handsets and their cabling while gaining the features of a modern phone system.

What the Grandstream GXW4232 offers

Up front there are 32 RJ11 jacks and a backlit LCD. At the back you find two 50-pin Telco (RJ21) connectors, the network port and the DC input. All of it fits a 1U chassis 185 mm deep, the same size as the smaller models.

  • 32 FXS ports, one SIP account per port.
  • One 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 port.
  • 4 SIP server profiles per device.
  • 12V 5A adapter, 60W maximum.

Room and reception phones behind one number

With hunting groups you set one port as the active port with a SIP account, then add other ports that share it. That way reception or room-service phones answer a single internal number. Each port also handles call waiting, blind and attended transfer, three-way conferencing, paging and message waiting indication.

Two Telco connectors for clean cabling

In hotels and hospitals, phone wiring usually ends on a distribution frame in the server room. The two RJ21 connectors on the back let you link that frame with Telco cables instead of dozens of single leads, which keeps the rack tidy and maintenance simple.

Protection and operation

Over-voltage and over-current protection follows ITU-T K.21. Place the gateway in an air-conditioned equipment room.

Where the GXW4232 fits in Saudi Arabia

  • Hotels in Makkah, Madinah and Riyadh upgrading the PBX but keeping room phones.
  • Hospitals and larger clinics: nursing stations, wards and labs.
  • Residential buildings and compounds with an internal phone in each apartment.
  • Multi-floor office buildings with many analog desk phones.

Compatibility and management

The gateway registers to any SIP PBX via RFC 3261, and Grandstream lists zero-configuration provisioning with its UCM series. Manage it from the web UI, the GDMS cloud platform or TR-069. Calls are encrypted with SRTP and TLS, and the unit has secure boot and dual firmware images.

GXW4232, GXW4224 or GXW4248?

The GXW4224 has 24 RJ11 ports and one Telco connector; the GXW4232 has 32 ports and two. Both run on a 12V 5A adapter in a 185 mm deep chassis. The GXW4248 reaches 48 lines through two Telco connectors only, with no front RJ11 jacks, a 24V adapter and a deeper body. Choose the GXW4232 for 25 to 32 phones, or whenever you want direct RJ11 jacks on the front.
