Product description

The Grandstream GBX20 is a sidecar key module with 20 dual-color keys per page and a 4.3-inch color screen, giving 40 contacts per unit. It is built for switchboard and reception staff on a GRP2615, GRP2650, GRP2670 or GXV3450 phone.

====

The Grandstream GBX20 is an extension module that gives a compatible phone 20 dual-color keys per page and its own 4.3-inch 480x272 color screen, so every name and line status is readable at a glance. Two pages per module mean 40 contacts, and you can daisy-chain up to 4 modules for 160.

Which phones take the Grandstream GBX20

Grandstream lists these hosts:

  • GRP2600 phones: GRP2615, GRP2624, GRP2650 and GRP2670.
  • Video phones: GXV3350 and GXV3450.

Installation and power

A connector plate screws across the backs of the phone and the module, and the supplied USB cable runs to the phone's EXT port. On a GRP2615 or GXV3350, one module draws power from the phone; with two or more, the datasheet calls for a 12 V power supply. Keys are set from the phone's web interface, and module firmware updates over the phone's network connection.

Where it fits

Picture a hospital switchboard in Riyadh watching every department, or a Makkah hotel front desk sending calls to rooms and managers with one press. Each key can run BLF, call park and pick-up, speed dial, intercom, presence or transfer.

GBX20 or GXP2200EXT?

Both offer 20 keys over 2 pages and chain up to 4 units. The GBX20 adds a 4.3-inch color screen, connects by USB and serves GRP2600 and GXV3350/GXV3450 phones. The GXP2200EXT has a 128x384 graphic LCD, uses an RJ11 cable and works with the GXP2140 and GXP2170. Pick the one that matches your phone.
