Product description
The Grandstream GRP2636 combines 12 line keys, 16 SIP accounts and 24 illuminated MPK keys with a 4.3-inch color screen, dual Gigabit PoE ports, dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It is built for receptionists and assistants who transfer calls to many colleagues all day.
====
The Grandstream GRP2636 is made for the desk that handles most of a company's incoming calls, with 24 physical, illuminated MPK keys sitting beside 12 line keys and 16 SIP accounts. A receptionist sees every colleague's status at a glance and transfers with a single press, while the 4.3-inch color display keeps caller names and menus readable.
Grandstream GRP2636 specifications
It shares the GRP2634's 220x210x82 mm body but steps up in almost every area:
- 12 dual-color line keys and up to 16 SIP accounts.
- 24 MPK keys with a paper strip for colleague names.
- 4.3-inch TFT color display at 480x272.
- 5 XML-programmable softkeys and 5 navigation keys.
- Dual Gigabit ports with PoE, dual-band Wi-Fi and built-in Bluetooth.
- 2,000-entry phonebook and 5-way conferencing.
24 dedicated keys for the front desk
On smaller phones you scroll through screen pages to find a colleague. On the GRP2636 each MPK key belongs to one person, and its LED shows whether they are free, on a call or ringing. Press it to transfer or pick up, and write the names on the supplied label strip so a new hire is not lost in week one.
A clearer screen and your logo on the front
At 4.3 inches the display is noticeably larger than the GRP2634's 2.8-inch screen, which helps when reading long names or details of a transferred call. Screen content can be customized with XML, and the faceplate is swappable for a company logo, a nice touch for hotels and firms that care how the reception desk looks.
Network and headsets
Both network ports run at 10/100/1000 Mbps, the phone draws 802.3af PoE, and a 12V adapter is included. Where pulling a cable is hard, it connects over 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi, with Wi-Fi 6 on hardware version 5.0 and later. For staff who live on the phone, it supports Bluetooth headsets, Grandstream GUV USB headsets and an RJ9 jack with EHS for Plantronics.
Where it fits in Saudi Arabia
- Hotel front desks in Makkah and Madinah transferring guests to housekeeping, dining and maintenance.
- Clinic and medical-complex receptions tracking doctors' and nurses' offices.
- Executive offices where one assistant supports several managers.
- Shared business centers that need a separate SIP account for each tenant company.
Compatibility and management
The GRP2636 works with Grandstream UCM PBXs and other systems that follow standard SIP (RFC3261). Mass setup runs through GDMS, TR-069 or AES-encrypted XML files, and security includes secure boot and dual firmware images.
GRP2636 or GRP2650?
The GRP2650 moves up to 14 lines, a 5-inch 1280x720 display and support for up to four GBX20 modules, but its colleague keys are virtual (56 VPK on screen). Stay with the GRP2636 if 24 physical keys are enough, and move to the GRP2650 when you monitor more people than that. Compared with the GRP2634, the GRP2636 adds four lines and 14 more MPK keys.
