Product description
The Uniview OER-604 is a networked controller for four doors, with 8 Wiegand inputs, 4 RS485 ports and storage for 200,000 cards and 300,000 events. It runs straight from 100 to 240 V AC and powers its own locks and readers, making it a fit for offices, warehouses and buildings that want several doors managed from one box.
====
The Uniview OER-604 is the part of an access control system that actually makes decisions, and it makes them for four doors at once. Readers capture cards and locks do as they are told, but permissions, schedules and the event log all live inside this controller. It holds 200,000 cards and 300,000 events, runs directly from 100 to 240 V AC, and supplies power to its own locks and readers.
Uniview OER-604 capacity
- 200,000 common cards with personal passwords, 1,000 duress cards with duress passwords, and 100 other cards.
- 300,000 stored events (entries, refusals, alarms).
- 256 time templates and 256 holiday templates.
- Up to 16 check templates on a weekly schedule, up to 8 periods per day and up to 3 authentication modes per period.
A duress card matters when an employee is forced to open a door: the door opens, but the event is logged differently.
Time and holiday templates turn cards into precise permissions. Morning-shift warehouse staff can be allowed in from 6 am to 2 pm only, and admin doors can lock automatically over Eid al-Fitr and Saudi National Day without touching a single card.
Ports for 4 doors and 8 Wiegand inputs
Each door gets a lock output (NC+/NO+/COM), a door-contact input and an exit-button input. For readers there are 8 Wiegand inputs and 4 RS485 ports.
Networking is a single 100Mbps Ethernet port over TCP/IP.
Built-in power and battery backup
Rather than a power supply per door, the OER-604 has two 12 V outputs: one for locks rated at up to 5 A and one for readers at up to 1.5 A. A circuit breaker is built in, and there is provision for a 12 V, 7 Ah backup battery (purchased separately) so doors keep working through a power cut. Power, charging, network and fault LEDs make maintenance visits quicker. Add up the current of all four locks and keep the total under 5 A.
Fire and alarm integration
The board has one fire input, 4 zone inputs, 8 case inputs and 8 outputs. The fire input lets you link the controller to the building's fire alarm panel. A tamper switch flags anyone opening the cabinet. Operating temperature runs from -30°C to 65°C, but the unit is rated for indoor wall mounting.
Typical Saudi projects
- Company head offices: main entrance, server room, archive and store room on one controller.
- Warehouses and distribution centers: loading-bay and staff doors with a long event history.
- Hospitals and clinics: pharmacy and theatre doors with shift-based schedules.
- Organizations that require NDAA-compliant equipment; this model is NDAA compliant.
OER-604 or OER-SR42?
Both control four doors over TCP/IP. The OER-604 stores 200,000 cards and 300,000 events against 42,000 cards and 200,000 events on the OER-SR42. The OER-604 also adds 4 RS485 ports, built-in lock and reader power, battery backup, a fire input plus 4 zones, and operation down to -30°C. The OER-SR42 is smaller (235 × 305 × 76 mm, 2.3 kg), accepts Wiegand formats from WG18 to WG66 and has 7 A relays.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many doors does the OER-604 control?
Four. Each door has a lock output, door-contact input and exit-button input, with 8 Wiegand inputs and 4 RS485 ports for readers.
Do I need a separate power supply for the locks?
Usually not. It has a 12 V lock output rated at 5 A and a 12 V reader output at 1.5 A. Check that your locks' total draw stays within 5 A.
What happens during a power cut?
It supports a user-supplied 12 V, 7 Ah backup battery, so it keeps running for a time that depends on battery capacity and load.
