Product description

The Grandstream GDS3710 combines a video door phone, a 1080p surveillance camera with a 180-degree view and keypad plus RFID access control in one IP66 metal unit. It suits company, clinic and building entrances that want to see every visitor and record the doorway on an NVR.

====

The Grandstream GDS3710 is three devices in one housing: a video door phone that calls a desk phone or smartphone, a 1080p surveillance camera, and a card-and-PIN access controller. Its hemispheric camera covers 180 degrees horizontally, so you see the person at the door and whoever is standing beside them, not just a face.

Grandstream GDS3710 camera and image

The picture is what separates this model from an audio intercom:

  • 1/2.7-inch 2MP sensor, 1920×1080 video at 30 fps.
  • F2.5 lens with a 180° horizontal and 150° vertical field of view.
  • White LED lighting with smart brightness control, down to 0.5 lux.
  • Up to 120 dB WDR for visitors standing with the midday sun behind them.
  • Motion detection with up to 4 privacy masks, plus event snapshots by email or FTP.

Three video streams at once

The GDS3710 sends three streams in parallel: 1080p for recording, a stream for SIP video calls and 320×240 for mobile apps. Your NVR records at full resolution while the call reaches a video phone or app quickly. Being ONVIF Profile S compliant, it can be added to ONVIF-compatible recorders like any other IP camera.

Card and PIN entry

The front has a 12-key touchpad and a capacitive doorbell button, each key LED-lit. A 125kHz RFID reader handles up to 2,000 cards, and one card and one key fob ship in the box. Staff use a card, or card plus private PIN; guests get a temporary PIN with start and end times. Inside the office, the person answering can open the door by keying a PIN on their phone during the call.

Two doors and alarm inputs

Two relays (125VAC/0.5A or 30VDC/2A, NO or NC) drive two locks, or a lock plus the entrance light. Two alarm inputs read door contacts. 26-bit Wiegand in/out connects an external reader or an access panel you already own.

Where it fits in Saudi Arabia

  • Company or bank branch entrances: reception checks the visitor on a video phone before opening.
  • Clinics and medical centers: staff badge in, and the entrance is recorded on the NVR.
  • Apartment buildings in Riyadh or Jeddah: residents answer the bell from the GS Wave app when away.
  • Warehouse gates: the wide lens shows both the truck and the driver in one frame.

Installation and power

Power comes from 802.3af Class 3 PoE or a 12VDC/1A adapter (not included). The metal body is rated IP66 and IK09, accepts an optional rear reinforcing plate and operates from -30 to 60°C. It measures 173 × 80 × 36 mm and weighs 0.6 kg. Manage settings and cards in the free GDS Manager software, or integrate through the HTTP API.

GDS3710 or GDS3725?

Both add video and card access. The GDS3725 brings a 4MP sensor, a PIR motion sensor, a dual-frequency 13.56MHz/125kHz reader for up to 5,000 cards, NFC, Bluetooth, QR codes, a microSD slot and IK10. The GDS3710 keeps the wider 180° view and is the simpler pick when 125kHz cards are all you need.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the GDS3710 record to an NVR?

Yes. It is ONVIF Profile S compliant and sends a 1080p recording stream, so ONVIF-capable NVRs can add it.

Can I answer the door from my phone?

Yes. Grandstream lists streaming to smartphones through the GS Wave app, as well as to GXV video phones.

Does it need a power adapter?

Not with an 802.3af PoE switch. A 12VDC/1A adapter is optional and not in the box.
