Product description

====
The Grandstream GXP1625 is a no-frills desk phone from the GXP1600 basic line: two lines, two SIP accounts and a 2.95-inch backlit screen. Power it from a PoE switch or from a power adapter. It is meant for staff who need to answer, transfer and hold calls without fuss: small offices, clinics, school admin rooms and guard posts.
Grandstream GXP1625 specs at a glance
- 2 lines with dual-color LEDs, 2 SIP accounts.
- 2.95-inch backlit LCD, 132×48.
- Dual 10/100 Mbps ports with integrated 802.3af Class 2 PoE.
- HD wideband audio on handset and speaker, 3-way conferencing.
- Phonebook of up to 1,000 contacts, 200-entry call history.
PoE or adapter, your choice
PoE is what separates the GXP1625 from its sibling, the GXP1620. With a PoE switch, one cable carries both data and power, and the phone draws only 3.84 to 6.49 W. Without one, it runs on a 5 V / 600 mA power supply. The second port passes the network on to the PC, keeping it to one wall socket per desk.
A key for every routine task
You get 3 context-sensitive soft keys, 5 navigation keys and dedicated keys for the jobs people do all day: mute, transfer, conference, hold, redial, voicemail, page/intercom and record. New staff pick it up in minutes because each action has its own button instead of a menu path.
HD audio and headset support
Handset and speakerphone both handle wideband audio over G.722, with echo cancellation (AEC) and packet loss concealment (PLC) to keep speech clear when the network is busy. An RJ9 headset jack with EHS support for Plantronics headsets lets customer service staff answer from the headset without lifting the handset.
Security and bulk provisioning
Calls are encrypted with SRTP, management runs over TLS and HTTPS, and the phone supports 802.1x plus 256-bit AES encrypted config files. IT can provision a whole batch through TR-069 or XML files and update firmware over HTTP, HTTPS or TFTP. The GXP16xx admin guide lists Arabic among the screen languages, so staff can work in the language they prefer.
Where it fits in Saudi offices
- Staff desks in small and mid-sized companies.
- Reception at clinics and polyclinics.
- School administration offices.
- Guard rooms in residential buildings and warehouses, mounted on the wall.
Works with any SIP PBX
The GXP1625 registers to any PBX that speaks standard SIP, including Grandstream UCM and Yeastar systems, as well as hosted SIP providers. It also stores a backup server address, so if the main server goes down the phone fails over and the line stays up.
GXP1625, GXP1628 or GXP1630?
The GXP1625 has 10/100 ports, which is fine when the PC behind the phone does not need Gigabit speed. The GXP1628 keeps two lines but moves to Gigabit ports and adds 8 BLF keys for watching colleagues' extensions. The GXP1630 adds a third line, a 132×64 screen and 4-way conferencing. If you prefer the newer generation, the GRP2602P from the GRP2600 series offers 4 SIP accounts.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the GXP1620 and GXP1625?
They share almost every spec. The GXP1625 adds PoE so it can be powered over the network cable; the GXP1620 runs on the adapter only.
Will it work with a Yeastar or Grandstream UCM PBX?
Yes. It works with any SIP PBX, including Yeastar and Grandstream UCM systems.
