Product description
The Grandstream GRP2601 is a 2-line desk IP phone with 2 SIP accounts and a 5 V power adapter in the box, so it works on a standard switch with no PoE. It suits small offices, branches and guard rooms that need a dependable phone for everyday calls.
====
The Grandstream GRP2601 is the entry model of the GRP2600 Essential range: a 2-line desk IP phone with 2 SIP accounts and a power adapter packed in the box. Plug in the network cable and the adapter and it is ready, with no PoE switch required. That makes it a practical fit for small offices and branches running a standard switch, and for guard rooms and warehouses that just need a phone for internal and outside calls.
Grandstream GRP2601 specs at a glance

Runs on the network you already have
Plenty of small offices use a switch that does not supply power to devices. With the GRP2601 there is no need to replace it: the bundled adapter powers the phone and the second port passes the network on to the PC, so one wall cable serves the whole desk. If you already run a PoE switch and want to drop the adapter, the GRP2601P is the version to pick.
Two accounts cover most desks
Most staff need one extension on the company PBX. The GRP2601 gives them that and leaves a second account free for another department, a branch, or a SIP provider. From the handset they can hold, transfer and forward calls, use call park and call pickup, and bring up to five people into one conference. The phonebook stores up to 2,000 contacts via XML or LDAP, and the call log keeps the last 800 calls.
Clearer calls in busy rooms
The phone handles G.722 wideband and Opus codecs, backed by Noise Shield and AI noise reduction that cut down the background sound reaching the other caller. The RJ9 headset jack is EHS compatible and works with Plantronics, Jabra and Sennheiser headsets, which helps anyone who spends the day on calls.
Security and central provisioning
The GRP2601 boots with secure boot and dual firmware images, encrypts stored data, and supports TLS 1.3, SRTP call encryption and 802.1X. IT teams can provision phones in bulk through GDMS, TR-069 or AES-encrypted XML files, so a new branch gets one shared configuration instead of a technician setting up each unit.
Where it fits
- Staff desks in small and mid-size companies.
- Branches and retail counters on a standard switch.
- Guard rooms and warehouse entrances, wall-mounted with the GRP-WM-A bracket.
- Building management offices in residential compounds.
PBX compatibility
Standard SIP support means the phone registers to Grandstream UCM systems, Yeastar PBXs or any other SIP platform. It ships with a 45° desk stand, measures 208 × 180 × 63.4 mm with handset and weighs 650 g.
GRP2601 vs GRP2601P vs GRP2601W
All three share the same screen, two lines, two SIP accounts and 10/100 ports. The GRP2601 includes an adapter and connects by cable. The GRP2601P draws power from a PoE switch and ships without an adapter. The GRP2601W adds 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 6 for desks with no network cable. If you need four SIP accounts and a backlit screen, look at the GRP2602P.
