Product description
The Grandstream GWN7803PH Pro is the high-power 24-port model in the GWN7800 Pro Series: every port is PoE++ up to 60W, the budget is 400W, and two 10G SFP+ ports handle the uplink. It is built for network rooms in warehouses, hotels and compounds running PTZ cameras and many access points.
====
The Grandstream GWN7803PH Pro is the high-power 24-port model in the GWN7800 Pro Series. Every port supports PoE++ up to 60W, the total budget is 400W, and two 10G SFP+ ports link it to the network core. The "H" stands for high power, which is the main difference from the GWN7803PL Pro. It belongs in a network room that feeds outdoor PTZ cameras and a large number of access points at the same time.
Grandstream GWN7803PH Pro: 24 PoE++ ports, 400W
- 24 × Gigabit RJ45, all PoE under IEEE 802.3af/at/bt.
- Up to 60W per port, 400W for the whole switch.
- 2 × 10G SFP+.
- 88 Gbps switching capacity, 65.472 Mpps forwarding rate.
- Jumbo frames up to 12,288 bytes.
When 30W per port is not enough
A standard PoE+ port stops at 30W. Some outdoor PTZ cameras, especially models with heaters or strong illuminators, and some newer access points ask for more. With 400W you get about 16.7W per port when every port is loaded, and the switch serves high-draw devices first based on the priority you assign. That removes the need for a separate PoE injector beside each large camera.
Keeping cameras online
The switch supports 1+1 power redundancy through an external RPS, so cameras and access points keep running if the main supply fails. Bundle both SFP+ ports with link aggregation, and STP, RSTP, MSTP and loop protection stop a misplaced cable from taking the network down. Surge protection rated ±6 kV on the power input and ±4 kV on network ports matters for outdoor cameras with long cable runs along fences.
Management and Pro AV
Manage it from GDMS Networking, GWN Manager, the web UI or the CLI. Built-in Pro AV QoS, IGMP snooping for video streams and IEEE 1588v2 support for time synchronization help audio and video systems run smoothly.
Where it works in Saudi Arabia
- A warehouse in Dammam or Jeddah: PTZ cameras on fences and gates, access points for handheld scanners.
- A hotel in Makkah or Madinah: access points on every floor plus lobby and parking cameras.
- A residential compound or mall: parking cameras and intercoms from one network room.
Compatibility
Works with PoE devices from any vendor and is managed alongside GWN routers and access points on one platform.
GWN7803PH Pro or GWN7803PL Pro?
Both have 24 ports, two SFP+ uplinks and 88 Gbps of switching capacity. The GWN7803PL Pro uses 802.3af/at at up to 30W per port with a 250W budget and weighs 3.06 kg. The GWN7803PH Pro raises each port to 60W and the budget to 400W, at 4.15 kg. Against the standard GWN7803P (24 PoE+ ports, 370W, four 1G SFP), the PH adds PoE++ and 10G uplinks. Go with the PH when more than one or two devices need over 30W, or when your total load exceeds 250W.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the GWN7803PH Pro differ from the GWN7803PL Pro?
The PH supports PoE++ at up to 60W per port with a 400W budget; the PL tops out at 30W per port and 250W. Ports, SFP+ uplinks and switching capacity are the same.
Does it need a redundant power supply?
Not to run, but it supports 1+1 redundancy with an external RPS if you want it to keep going when the main supply fails.
How much power does it draw?
About 30.5W idle and up to 471.4W at full 400W PoE load, so size your circuit and UPS accordingly.
