Product description
The Grandstream GRP2603P is a 3-line desk IP phone with 6 SIP accounts, dual Gigabit ports, PoE and a 2.7-inch backlit screen. It is aimed at secretaries, supervisors and front-desk staff in offices running a Gigabit network.
====
The Grandstream GRP2603P is the three-line model in the GRP2600 Essential range: 6 SIP accounts, dual Gigabit Ethernet, PoE and a 2.7-inch backlit graphical screen. It is aimed at people who watch more than one number at a time, such as secretaries, team supervisors and front-desk staff in a clinic or small office, and it keeps full network speed for the PC plugged in behind it.
Grandstream GRP2603P specifications
- 3 line keys with dual-color LEDs, 6 SIP accounts.
- Up to 3 call appearances.
- Dual Gigabit 10/100/1000 Mbps ports.
- Integrated 802.3af Class 1 PoE (3.84 W).
- 2.7-inch backlit graphical LCD, 132×64.
- 26 languages including Arabic.
Three lines, color-coded
Each line key has a two-color LED, so a glance tells you whether a line is busy or ringing. With 6 SIP accounts you can map one key to your own extension, one to the department number and a third to a line shared with a colleague through SCA/BLA. A dedicated HOLD key, one of nine fixed keys, lets you park one caller and pick up another without opening a menu.
Gigabit for the PC behind the phone
On 10/100 phones the PC that connects through the handset is capped at 100 Mbps. The GRP2603P has Gigabit on both ports, so the PC gets full network speed, which matters for anyone moving large files or working in an ERP system all day. Power comes from a PoE switch and there is no adapter in the box; to run it without PoE, add the Grandstream 5V/0.6A PSU.
Audio and desk comfort
The handset and speaker deliver HD wideband audio, and the full-duplex speakerphone lets both sides talk at once without clipping. Noise Shield and AI noise reduction keep office noise down. The stand offers two angles, 39° and 45°, and the faceplate can be swapped to carry a company logo. An RJ9 jack takes EHS-compatible Plantronics, Jabra or Sennheiser headsets.
Security and provisioning
Secure boot, dual firmware images and encrypted storage, plus TLS 1.3, DTLS-SRTP and SDES-SRTP media encryption and 802.1X. Bulk provisioning runs through GDMS, TR-069 or AES-encrypted XML.
Where it fits
- Secretaries and department managers.
- Reception at small clinics and real estate offices.
- Shift supervisors in warehouses and factories.
- Management offices in small hotels.
Compatibility
Works with Grandstream UCM systems, Yeastar PBXs and any SIP PBX, and wall-mounts with the GRP-WM-A bracket. Hot-desking and server failover are supported too.
GRP2603P vs GRP2602P
The GRP2602P has 2 lines, 4 SIP accounts, 10/100 ports and a 2.41-inch screen, enough for someone handling a single number. The GRP2603P adds a third line, two more accounts, Gigabit ports and a larger 2.7-inch display, the better pick on a Gigabit network or for staff covering several numbers.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the GRP2603P include a power adapter?
No. The P model runs on PoE and ships without one. Without a PoE switch, add the Grandstream 5V/0.6A PSU.
Are the network ports Gigabit?
Yes. Both ports are 10/100/1000 Mbps, so the PC passes through at Gigabit speed.
How many calls can it handle at once?
Up to 3 call appearances on 3 line keys, with 6 SIP accounts.
