Anthurium plant – sometimes known as the Flamingo flower or Red heart flower, it is one of the most beautiful flowering indoor plants with shiny leaves and bright red or pink flowers that last long, and it requires moderate care between light and humidity to stay flowering and healthy. 🌿🌤️ Suitable lighting: • Likes bright indirect light (such as bright window light without direct sun). • Exposure to direct sunlight may burn the leaf edges or fade the flower color. • Low light reduces the number of flowers and makes the leaves pale. 📍 Best place: Next to an eastern or western window with strong light but without direct sun. 💧 Watering: • Do not overwater, as its roots do not like to be waterlogged. • Water only when the top 3–4 cm of soil dries out. • Usually once a week is enough in summer, and every 10–12 days in winter. • Use room temperature water, preferably chlorine-free if possible. ⚠️ Do not leave water collected in the saucer under the pot — it may cause root rot quickly. 🌿 Humidity and temperature: • Likes warm and humid environments (20–28°C). • Dry air causes leaf tips to dry out. • Mist the leaves lightly 2–3 times a week, or place it near a humidifier. • Avoid placing it near the air conditioner or in places with cold drafts. 🌸 Flowering and general care: • Anthurium blooms most months of the year if in a suitable environment. • After the flower withers, cut it from the base to encourage the plant to produce new flowers. • Wipe its leaves with a damp cotton swab periodically to remove dust and maintain shine.
