Ronex Plus Composition: Each tablet contains 10 mg of Ronidazole and 10 mg of Amprolium. Specifications: Anti-coccidial agents, used to treat and prevent coccidiosis in calves, sheep, goats, pigeons, chickens (broilers and layers), and other birds such as turkeys, with activity against Eimeria Spp., especially Eimeria Tenella and Eimeria Necatrix. It is a thiamine (vitamin B1) analogue, and its pharmacological effect relies on competitive inhibition of thiamine absorption. Amprolium competitively inhibits the active transport of thiamine in the second-generation schizonts of Eimeria Spp. and in the host's intestinal cells. When amprolium is taken, coccidiosis suffers from thiamine deficiency and starves from malnutrition. Active against coccidia and skin parasites such as Histomonas Spp. and Trichomonas Spp. Indications: Treatment of trichomoniasis, hexamitiasis, and coccidiosis. Side effects: - Not given to poultry whose eggs are intended for human consumption. - Not administered to animals with impaired liver or kidney functions. - Not to be used in young birds under 8 to 10 weeks of age. Dosage: Do not give to poultry whose eggs are intended for human consumption. Do not use in animals with liver and/or kidney dysfunction.
