It is effective against protozoan organisms, including Trichomonas gallinae and Trichomonas columbae. Pharmacokinetic properties: Dimetridazole is well absorbed after oral administration. It is characterized by low protein binding and good tissue distribution. Dimetridazole undergoes hepatic metabolism and is mainly excreted via urine. Indications: Used to treat protozoal diseases sensitive to dimetridazole. In the bath: - Used to treat infections with Trichomonas gallinae or Trichomonas columbae.
