This product description is dedicated to the reproductive stage of medium and large-sized species, which, in addition to their need for a high-quality protein-rich diet during this period, also benefit from fatty acids rich in oleic acid (Amazona, Cacatua, Psittacula), Pioneus…). It is formulated to stimulate reproduction. It contains a high percentage of protein with amino acids suitable for this stage. Furthermore, it has been specially designed with a focus on the profile of fatty acids and the contribution of Omega 6 and Omega 3. The concentration of vitamins and antioxidants in this product is higher than that in the maintenance formula to meet the increased needs during the breeding season. It is formulated to constitute 100% of the diet for parrots. However, if fresh fruits and vegetables are provided daily to add variety to the diet, a high-protein Psittacus diet should make up no less than 70-80% of the total diet by weight. In the case of repeated and/or multiple clutches, it is recommended that the birds have access to coarse calcium granules as a source of calcium. Birds can regulate their calcium intake according to their needs. The daily intake ranges between 5 and 10% of the animal’s body weight. For example, blue-fronted Amazons consume between 20 to 35 grams daily. Available sizes: 1 kg hand-packed, 12 kg.
