Santal Pao Rosa draws its name from Guerlain heritage: Pao Rosa, a perfume designed by Aime Guerlain in 1877 that indeed evokes the meeting of wood and rose. The composition brings a woody note with resinous touches, where an overdose of sandalwood, spiced with cardamom in the opening, marries with amber and oud wood, all wrapped in a veil of rose, revealing the milky nuances of sandalwood, emphasized by fig and hazelnut, as well as smoky and animalic nuances. While this perfume is well-made, it also plays a role in a world already extensively exploited by niche perfumes.
