Printing and color technology

The FARGO DTC1250e printer uses dye sublimation and resin thermal transfer printing technology to apply images and colors to PVC cards with high precision. It supports full-color printing (up to 16.7 million colors), producing vibrant, detailed images. It can also be operated in monochrome printing mode using Resin Black ribbon to efficiently produce black and white cards. Accuracy and printing speed

The printer boasts a print resolution of 300 dots per inch (dpi), ensuring excellent clarity for text and images on the card. In terms of print speed, the printer can produce a large number of cards in a short time. For example:

• Monochrome mode (black only): about 6 seconds to print a single-sided card; about 8 seconds to print a double-sided card.
• Full-color mode: about 16 seconds to print a single-sided card; and about 24 seconds to print a double-sided card.

• Magnetic stripe cards: where the printer supports the magnetic stripe encryption option (tracks 1, 2 and 3).
• Smart cards (Contact/Contactless): The printer supports smart cards for direct and indirect contact using the available encryption options.
