This product is a pair of frame sliders compatible with the models listed above. The sliders are made of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE), a durable plastic known for its high strength, abrasion resistance, and dimensional stability. It is more dimensionally stable than nylon and is used in many industrial ball bearing applications for friction reduction. Compared to Delrin, it is softer but more durable. Delrin is stiffer but more brittle. This material is ideal for sliders because it can absorb more shock, thus reducing the direct impact on the frame and engine. It can be easily and inexpensively replaced in case of side-slip. We use the highest commercially available grade of 12.9 aluminum (177,000 psi tensile strength) whenever possible. The brackets are made of aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminum and held together with a crossbar, resulting in a bracket that is approximately twice as strong. Rest assured that you are getting the best commercially available materials. You will receive the hard disc design as shown in the top image. Unlike older slides, our new slides are not hollow inside; they are completely solid and have up to 30% more surface area. As a result, they are stronger and can withstand greater sliding.
