Dear reader, the magical concepts have existed since the childhood of the human mind as an attempt to explain mysterious events that occur in the world or an attempt to control it, and those superstitious concepts still come upon us, unwilling to leave us, and have even become wrapped in a scientific cover at times and a religious cover at other times. And although these concepts are linked to the cultures and folk traditions of peoples, it has become difficult to eliminate them. The book "Superstitions That Refuse to Die" is an attempt to explore how these concepts arose in the past and to demonstrate the falsehood of the claims of those who believe in them today. The book discusses the meaning of superstitions and explains why people believe in them, as well as addresses magical concepts that manifest in various forms such as fortune-telling, reading horoscopes, astrology, optimism and pessimism, magic, possession by jinn, and magic as primitive medicine, among others.
