Poetry for "Saad Al-Thaqafi" is not luxury nor a form of entertainment; rather, it is an expression of the self in a moment of purity, language, imagery, and speech. In some "pain" poems, there is a reservoir of emotional depth and high emotion, and verses that allude to stark and provocative life situations, flowing through what is called the flash of insight, filled with intimacy and warmth in beautiful lived selections; with rhythms harmonizing with human pain that only a poet can bear. The poet says in a poem titled (Journey): I walk alone through sorrows that carry me, so I embraced me in a state and travel / I walk where no one looks at anyone, I carried my worry from one state to another / and how I have stretched out forty, how to accept it, I fled from it to it, without questioning (...) / Oh gray hair, you have made me happy for you have returned me to the remnants of my old dawn. And thus, the poet Al-Thaqafi creates an overall atmosphere with a very spontaneous theme through a system of images that mature within which what forms the mood of the poem. The poet divided the poems of the collection into poetic groups that came under the following titles: 1- Diaries, 2- Stations, 3- Southern Poems, 4- On the banks of the shore, 5- Reading from the personal note, 6- Texts, 7- Chemistry, 8- Poems inspired by revolutions.
