Memory of the villages – Approaches in popular narratives by researcher Dr. Saad Al-Thaqafi, in which he discussed 34 popular narratives collected by the researcher from the area where the Thaqif tribe resides south of Taif, to which the researcher belongs. This area relied on pastoral agricultural life as a way of living, which is reflected in the collected narratives. These are regional narratives shared among neighboring regions, taking into account the possibility of differences between one region and another. These narratives mix the personal with the general, the real with the imaginary, the factual with the mythical, and the natural with the supernatural.
