Incident Investigation

This qualification has been jointly developed by NEBOSH with the UK Health and Safety Ministry, to introduce the correct procedures for conducting accident investigations. Certificates: The trainee receives a certificate accredited by the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training if they attend the full course. They also receive a certificate from British NEBOSH upon passing the international exam. (Registration for the exam is with an additional fee of 800 Riyals) Training duration: 12 hours (3 days) Training language: Available in Arabic or English (the international exam is in English) What can the NEBOSH certificate for accident investigation offer to the safety officer in the facility? The safety officer/safety supervisor in any facility will be able to learn how to conduct a systematic and comprehensive investigation of simple accidents, and ensure that similar accidents are not repeated according to British NEBOSH standards and the UK Ministry of Health. Who can obtain the NEBOSH certificate for accident investigation? Anyone who needs to understand the basic rules for accident investigation as part of their job. In modern workplaces, this qualification relates to everyone’s safety. There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification; however, it is recommended that students have basic prior knowledge of safety issues. This qualification specifically relates to the following: Health, Safety, and Environment Champions, unions and similar bodies, safety representatives, practitioners/supervisors conducting effective accident investigations, high-level operational workers/skilled workers, human resources management and staff, and facility managers. What is the scope covered by the training course? This course covers how to conduct an independent investigation of simple accidents, how to gather evidence including conducting interviews with witnesses, preparing an action plan to prevent recurrence of the accident, contributing to team investigations of large-scale accidents, and positively influencing the safety culture in your company.
