In the emergency room of the hospital I learned that my foot had been broken and that it would stay wrapped in plaster for four full weeks! The whole situation was extremely exciting! The plaster was impressive and eye-catching, and everyone in the emergency room was looking at me with great attention, as if they wanted to know the story of what had happened to me. I felt that I was carrying a terrible secret.
