Palm Secrets is used when palms need balanced soil nutrition with a higher concentration of potassium, especially during flowering, fruit setting, and fruit development stages. The high potassium makes it suitable to support date quality, while nitrogen and phosphorus support continued vegetative growth and root development. This product differs from soluble fertilizers because it is a granular fertilizer added to the soil around the palms, not a quick-dissolving foliar fertilizer. Therefore, it is suitable for ground fertilization programs aimed at gradual feeding and improving the root environment. Benefits of potassium in improving date quality: Potassium is an important element during fruiting, as it helps support sugar transfer within the plant and improves fruit fullness and quality. Therefore, the 12-6-24 Palm Secrets formula is suitable for palms during production stages, especially when aiming to support fruit size, sweetness, and market quality. Role of humic acids and magnesium in Palm Secrets: Humic acids help improve soil fertility and increase the efficiency of nutrient absorption around the roots, while magnesium supports chlorophyll formation and greening. The presence of these components along with trace elements makes Palm Secrets suitable for feeding palms both through roots and soil, as well as improving fruit quality. How to use Palm Secrets for palms: - Use according to the package instructions or the advice of an agricultural specialist. - Scatter the fertilizer around the palm’s root zone, not directly attached to the trunk. - Preferably mix lightly with the surface layer of soil when possible. - Water after application to help the granules dissolve gradually and nutrients reach the roots. - Reapply during the season as needed depending on the palm’s age, soil condition, and growth stage. - Do not increase the dose arbitrarily to avoid salt buildup or root stress. Best stages to use Palm Secrets: - Pre-growth season: to support the start of growth and improve palm readiness. - Flowering and fruit setting stage: to support inflorescence formation and fruit setting. - Fruit development stage: to support fullness and improve date quality. - Post-harvest: can be integrated into a suitable nutrition program to restore palm activity as recommended by a specialist. Difference between Palm Secrets and balanced fertilizers: Palm Secrets contains higher potassium than nitrogen and phosphorus, making it more suitable for palms and fruit quality stages than general balanced fertilizers. Balanced fertilizers like 20-20-20 are mainly used for general nutrition, while high-phosphorus formulations are more suited for root strengthening and early establishment stages. Precautions when using granular palm fertilizer: - Do not place the fertilizer directly attached to the trunk. - Do not use high doses without knowing the palm’s age and actual needs. - In saline or poorly drained soils, adjust watering and drainage before increasing fertilization. - Do not rely solely on fertilizer if the soil is very weak; support it with products from the soil and media section or soil conditioners as needed. - Store in a dry, cool place away from moisture and direct sunlight. - Keep the product out of reach of children and pets.
