Explanation of the Azizi conjugation by Mr. Sharif Al-Jurjani

The derivation for the sciences of Arabic, runs with it as the original with the branch, and connects with all of them in closer connection, because its concern is the Arabic vocabulary in its original construction and the form of its letters, and the compound does not exist except after the existence of its parts, and the Arabic sciences that search for the vocabulary are also in dire need of this science, so it is no wonder that the predecessors of the skilled Arab linguists did not take from it without reason, and they counted many of their distinguished ones errors caused by negligence of its essentials. And the work in Al-Azhar Mosque was ongoing to teach this art in the books of Ibn Malik and Ibn Hisham, which did not focus on the discussions of verbs with the care they deserve, although these discussions are foremost among the topics of this art. So when the Supreme Council of Al-Azhar Mosque formed in the summer of 1355 corresponding to 1936, a committee headed by the esteemed Sheikh Ibrahim Hamroush, the Sheikh of the Faculty of Arabic Language, to study curricula and select suitable books, this matter was given special attention. They saw that it is necessary to teach the discussions of verbs and what is related to them twice in the secondary section of religious institutes, and they decided that the second time should be in the book of Sharh Al-Sayyid Al-Sharif Al-Jurjani on Tashreef Al-Azizi, which is a comprehensive book on the discussions, precise in expressions, full of explanations, and containing many benefits, collecting the fragments of the art and what has been scattered from it. This book has been printed many times in Istanbul with many erroneous editions, and once in Cairo last year (1936) under the supervision of my brother, Sheikh Muhammad Al-Zafzaf, a teacher at the Faculty of Arabic Language. And here it is in the hands of the readers, in a form that can be described as: meticulously corrected, with examples accurately checked, its mysteries explained, and its signals and secrets clarified. This makes it easier for minds to understand the book and helps students explore its secrets and mysteries.
