Product description
At the beginning of the 14th Hijri century, the scholar Sheikh Muhammad Hussein Al-Azheri authored three essays on the Arabic language: the first on the art of morphology, the second on grammar, and the third on calligraphy (spelling). The author compiled these essays in the order mentioned into one book called "Basic Rules in the Sciences of Arabic." Then, the book gained acceptance and appreciation, and the scientific committee convened at the Diwan Al-Ma'arif at that time unanimously decided to publish the book. The first edition of the book was printed at the Miriyah Printing House in Bulaq in the year 1302 AH, after it became a studied subject for students of the royal primary stage, in addition to the book "Fusool Al-Fikriyah" by Abdullah Pasha Fikri (d. 1307 AH). To enrich the Arab library, we reprinted the book again, recognizing the need for such small, beneficial, and accessible works for beginners in this field, suitable for teaching in scientific courses and early stages of scientific and Shariah institutes. We were encouraged by the scholar's academic stature, his teaching experience, his sincere desire to facilitate Arabic, and the recommendation of five senior scholars of Egypt to print and teach the book in the royal primary schools. In the initial stage, we decided to preserve the text of the book entirely, without adding anything, neither scientific clarifications in the margins nor titles for the chapters in the original. Our work was limited to comparing the text of the book, correcting examples and some diacritical words, organizing the book's paragraphs, counting some issues of its topics, and placing appropriate punctuation marks.
