This book There is no doubt that Arabic is an identity under which its people unite, whether in its documentation or narration, let alone that it is the language of the Noble Quran, a matter that has gone beyond the realm of countries to the realm of religion, expanding and encompassing. This led to the care of its people for it, so it remained alive until the present time, with them studying its high literature and solid rules. Among this care is (the art of writing and spelling). It is a science that grammarians cared for, and they scattered its rules within their books, due to its strong connection to the science of grammar. Abu Hayyan said: "The talk about spelling is not from the science of grammar, but grammarians mentioned it in their books out of necessity for what a beginner needs in pronunciation and writing, and because much of writing is built on grammatical principles. Explaining these principles clarifies those foundations, such as their handling of the hamza in most cases with the letter that facilitates it, which is a major aspect of grammar." For this reason, I, Azmi, verified and worked hard to achieve this book related to a branch of this noble science, titled (A Message on the Writing of the Word Ibn) by Sheikh Ibrahim bin Salim — may Allah have mercy on him — one of the scholars of Al-Azhar. In it, he discussed the word (Ibn), as is clear from the title of the message, and the conditions it undergoes, in response to a request from one of the Orientalists, as we will clarify, and to bring benefit in understanding it due to the importance of this word, which is reflected in its frequent use in writings and its circulation among tongues.
