Grammatical studies and semantic insights

Product description
A collection of research papers written by the author on various grammatical topics, published at different times, aiming to serve as models for linking grammatical lessons with semantic and rhetorical considerations. These discussions fall under a single approach, which is connecting the states of grammatical construction with their rhetorical meanings. The author benefited from the efforts of the scholars of meanings, especially the Imam of rhetoricians, Abdul Qahir Al-Jurjani, and relied on the references of some grammarians and their explanations based on understanding the meaning, adding to that what he found here and there that he believed to be beneficial for both grammar and rhetoric at the same time. This approach required the author to weaken some grammatical opinions that contradict the soundness of the meaning and the richness of the indication, along with related judgments and explanations, and to support other opinions that reveal the precise purposes of speech and their deep connotations. Sometimes, he also expressed personal opinions that he believed to be more suitable for the purposes of speech. The author’s intention was not to belittle the work of grammarians or to diminish that great grammatical edifice, but rather to purify the grammatical heritage from occasional exaggerations in estimation, weaknesses in explanation, and the prioritization of craft over meaning and indication.
