Product description

The scholar Taj al-Qurra Mahmoud bin Hamza bin Nasr al-Kermani, who died after 535 AH, authored this precious explanation of the book "Al-Ghayah fi al-Qira'at al-'Ashr" by the scholar Abu Bakr Ahmad bin al-Husayn bin Mahran, who died in 381 AH. It is one of the first writings on the readings beyond the seven which Ibn Mujahid al-Baghdadi (d. 325 AH) compiled in his famous book "Al-Sab'a". The book Al-Ghayah came in a summarized form, mentioning the choices of the ten readers and adding to it the choice of Abu Hatim Sahl bin Muhammad al-Sijistani, who died in 255 AH. The explanation is a revealing commentary on the complexities of Al-Ghayah, highlighting its benefits and virtues, where he mentioned the names of Ibn Mahran's teachers and students in detail, which is rarely found elsewhere. The Kermani also relied on a large collection of sources in his explanation, many of which are lost and have not been found.
