He was among the first to undergo the new educational system at Al-Azhar, and he obtained the high diploma from the College of Arabic Language in 1934 AD, as part of a pioneering batch. Some sources mention he submitted another thesis during his specialization stage in 1940, titled: "The shared in Arab speech." After obtaining his certificate, he was appointed as a teacher at the College of Arabic Language in Cairo. He was then sent on a scholarship to Mecca in the first Azhar mission to Saudi Arabia in 1946 AD. In the sixties, he was seconded to Libya and remained there until the 1969 revolution, then he moved to work as a professor at Imam Muhammad bin Saud University in Riyadh.
