Al-Shafi’i, may Allah have mercy on him, said: "No book appeared on the earth after the Book of Allah, more authentic than the book of Malik." And this statement was before the appearance of Sahih al-Bukhari. Al-Bukhari said about Al-Muwatta: "From the most authentic chains is Malik from Nafi’ from Ibn Umar." And Imam Malik himself said about his book: "I presented my book to seventy jurists from the jurists of Medina, and all of them agreed with me on it, so I named it Al-Muwatta."
