The research includes two chapters; the first contains an introduction that includes a definition of criticism, and the second defines Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah as a critic. Then, in the second chapter, the researcher mentioned the most prominent aspects that became clear to him in Sheikh al-Islam's critique of the texts, listing ten aspects derived from examples from Sheikh al-Islam's books, with examples provided for each aspect as available. The researcher concluded with important results, including: - That Sheikh al-Islam is a critic of the first class, whether criticizing the chain of narration or the text. - Sheikh al-Islam distinguished himself in criticizing the text in general, not only the texts of hadith but even stories and tales. - Sheikh al-Islam has extensive knowledge and memorization, so he often criticizes one text from many aspects. - The critique of the text is evident in all his books, but the book Al-Minhaj as-Sunnah specifically focuses heavily on criticizing the text. - Sheikh al-Islam's critique is broad and requires further research to clarify it; Allah makes it easy for whom He wills among His servants. - There is a recommendation to pay attention to such a topic in criticizing texts due to the limited collection of works on criticizing texts. The researcher hopes that Allah benefits from this research, asking Allah for success and guidance. Allah knows best, and may peace and blessings be upon Muhammad and his family and companions altogether. All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of praise and thanks, the Lord of glory and splendor. He created and perfected, provided and made abundant. And after: The people of each class and the giants of every nation have spoken about criticizing reports, exerting their utmost effort and dedicating their efforts to it. Among those who paid the greatest attention to this was Sheikh al-Islam, the master of preservers, the sign of the time, Ahmad ibn Abdul-Halim ibn Abdul-Salam, Abu al-Abbas Taqi al-Din, famously known as Ibn Taymiyah al-Harrani. He was born in Harran in the year 661 AH and died in Damascus in the year 728 AH. He is renowned for his memorization and intelligence, praised by teachers, students, and even enemies, as a defender of the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him. Allah supports those who defend His Messenger specifically and grants them clear knowledge of truth and falsehood. This is part of His preservation of His religion, and a group of His servants will continue to be upright and perceptive until Allah’s command comes. Therefore, I wanted to present some aspects of this scholar’s critique of the texts of hadith along with examples. It should be known that there are other aspects that require broader research; Allah makes it easy for whom He wills among His servants.
