Praise be to Allah who made knowledge "the most profitable gains and trades, the noblest heights and glories, the most honorable praise and virtues, and the best resources and sources; so it was honored by the pens and inkstands, and adorned by the pulpits and platforms, and decorated by the papers and notebooks, and the insignificant advanced over the greats with its honor." And after: The jurisprudence is the science that combines the rational and the transmitted, so it gained honor over all other sciences. Our scholars have paid attention to writing summaries and compilations, some of which encompass all its issues and chapters, and others that are specific to some chapters without others. Among them is the summary of Ibn Ashir, which is a poem about worships, intended by its author to be for beginners. Allah blessed me with reading and reciting it, and I saw that I should put a commentary that combines the understanding of the phrase and the overall study of the meaning, with explanations and exercises that expand the student's grasp and deepen understanding. I ask Allah that this work be dedicated to him, and that He grants it acceptance and dissemination so that both the young and the old may benefit from it.
