The book included five sections: the first: on the scientific introductions to jurisprudence and its roots. and the second: on the legislative obligations and the statutory provisions. and the third: on the objectives of the Sharia and the related rulings. and the fourth: on the legal evidences and the sources of legislation. and the fifth: on the rulings of ijtihad and imitation. and the conflict and the preference, and the question and the answer. and Al-Shatibi addressed researches that have not been preceded by, and dealt with topics that no one else had previously addressed.
