The French prisoner

The French envoy Pierre is a prisoner in Bayezid and is thrown into prison by order of its ruler Mahmoud Pasha. This was during his journey from France to Iran to meet its Shah on an official mission entrusted to him by Bonaparte. No one knew about him except the jailer Mahmoud Agha and his family. So they extended compassionate hands to him and protected him from the Pasha's brutality, giving him food and paper to write the memories of a man who witnessed important historical events. Pierre was afraid that history would erase his story, but fate revealed a different will.
