Writing this biography for the author Michelle Vitousi was a contribution to exposing the oppression that led a mother and six children to live a bitter ordeal. What this family endured will remain inspiring to her, just as human rights violations on this land inspire her. Michelle Vitousi did not know much about the history of Morocco, nor was she familiar with the backgrounds of the Oufkir family prison. All she knew was that she, along with five of her brothers and sisters and their mother, had been imprisoned for two decades as punishment for the military coup organized by their father.
