Kafka on the Shore

The novel "Kafka on the Shore" sparked a wave of comments and discussions, and the surreal, metaphysical, philosophical atmosphere that dominates this novel, which incorporates music, literature, philosophy, and One Thousand and One Nights as a margin building the main ideas, was striking. An old man who can converse with cats, fish falling from the sky, soldiers living in a forest since World War II, a magical stone that may lead to the world's destruction or salvation... An imaginative atmosphere filled with the masterpiece of the Japanese writer Haruki Murakami, "Kafka on the Shore." which as much as it is surreal, it is simple, celebrating the magic of life and defending it, through two intersecting parallel stories: an old man searching for his lost half-shadow, and a fifteen-year-old boy fleeing from his father's black curse. Between them are worlds, cities, characters, and semi-epic journeys, all summarized around the search for love, the meaning of death, and the value of memories. A novel that not only prompts each of us to reflect on life but also provokes us to change it or to change ourselves within it and begin the journey of searching for our lost compass.
