Cacao seedlings

The approximate height of the seedling is 20-40 cm. The cacao tree (Theobroma cacao). Information about cacao: Origin: its original homeland in Central and South America (Mexico, Brazil, Peru). Scientific name: Theobroma cacao, meaning "food of the gods". Suitable environment: needs a humid tropical climate. Ideal temperature between 21 – 32 °C. Does not tolerate drought or strong winds. Fruit shape: the fruits are large oval or rectangular pods. Their color ranges from green (unripe) to yellow or red or purple when ripe. Content: each fruit contains approximately 20 – 50 seeds. These seeds are fermented then dried to become "cacao beans" used to produce chocolate, cocoa powder, and cocoa butter. Uses: making chocolate and beverages. Cosmetics (cocoa butter for skin moisturizing). Some traditional medicinal uses.
