Overview: At the bottom of the description, you will find two clips of John - owner of Descent Company - talking about their company's coffee clump breaker, and he pointed out in the clip that the needles they use are exactly the same as these needles, and that it is possible to make a similar coffee bean clump breaker with them.
Note that the purpose of using it is either to break up the clumps or to distribute the coffee evenly on the basket to ensure equal extraction.
Methods of making a clump breaker:
The fastest and easiest way to make it is using a cork (from bookstores) as shown in the pictures.
Place the cork on the table surface, then insert the needle into the cork from the base of the needle (not from the sharp end) vertically into the cork.
Then place the cork on any perfume cap.
We recommend this method because it is easy and can be made in less than two minutes.
This clip for Sin's taste will explain other methods in detail, simply, and wonderfully in less than two minutes.

Features of the breaker:
The needles are lightweight, thin, and very flexible and do not affect the coffee during movement and distribution or breaking the clumps, unlike other clump breakers that are wide and affect distribution.
It also completely replaces the traditional distributor; many experts rely solely on distributing the coffee with clump-breaking tools and do not use a distributor.
Contents of the package:
Five needles, each 0.4mm in size.
(You can choose 10 needles from the product options.)
A square cork piece as shown in the pictures.
How to use it:
There are different opinions.
Some use it as Deep WDT, meaning inserting the clump breaker deep into the basket and moving it.
Others, including John Malik Descent, use it only as a Puck rake, meaning just distributing the top quarter of the basket; this is for distributing the coffee and breaking the upper clumps.
Our opinion on its use:
The first method, although better, requires more effort and caution, and a small mistake often leads to poor extraction.
Therefore, we prefer the second method because it is easier, sufficient, and provides high consistency in results, and small errors do not significantly affect the extraction.
Note:
We recommend using it with a clump-breaking ring - dosing ring - to avoid wasting coffee during distribution.
Shipping and delivery:
Delivered on the same day within Jeddah city.
Shipped within 24 hours outside Jeddah city (estimated delivery time is 2-4 working days after shipping).
Note: Working days do not include weekends.
In this clip, John answers the question "Why don't they make the traditional distributor?" and briefly talks about how to make a clump breaker with these needles, and why he prefers it over the traditional distributor.
And in this clip, he talks in detail about their puck rake, tries it, and provides other useful information.
