Product description

The last round is a collection of stories by the Argentine-born French citizen writer and thinker "Julio Cortázar," translated into Arabic by "Mohammed Abu Al-Ata," and published by Azmenah House in Amman. Cortázar's stories are characterized by enclosed spaces in the gray city neighborhood and the presence of unknown forces that seem to have a hand in shaping destinies. As objects exist, they also have a life, and they may resist human use; and their heroes do not control the event, nor do they undertake the events, but they only react to strange situations that confront their lives, and therefore they are closer to the reader, who also has nothing but to accept the events without the ability to influence them. The levels of discourse, narrative times, and spaces are layered through the technique of transition/ in various ways.
