Mohammed Al Thubaiti (1952 - 2011) was born the poet Mohammed Awad Al Thubaiti, nicknamed "Sayid Al Bayd," in 1952 in one of the villages of Bani Saad south of Taif city in Saudi Arabia. He lived his early childhood there, received his primary education in his village, then moved to Mecca to complete his general education, and graduated from the College of Teachers with a bachelor's degree in social sciences. He began his professional life as a teacher in Jazan region in 1972, then returned to Mecca in 1975 and continued teaching until 1984, when he moved to work in the Education Department in the Statistics section, and he assumed its chairmanship in 1995 until his retirement in 2006. After that, he dedicated himself to working at the public library in Mecca. In March 2009, he suffered a severe heart attack after returning from a cultural trip to Yemen, which he endured for a long time until he passed away on Friday, 10 Safar 1432 AH, corresponding to January 14, 2011. He was buried in Al-Ma'la Cemetery in Mecca after performing the prayer on him in the Holy Haram.

The Literary Club in Hail published his complete works in one volume, including all his poetic production, in addition to an audio recording of his voice.
Literary awards:
First prize in the Youth Care Office competition in Mecca in 1397 AH for "Inspired by the Tenth of Ramadan."
Jeddah Cultural Club Award in 1991 for the collection "The Terrain."
Al-Babteen Foundation Award for the best poem in 2000 for "The Sandstorm... The Gannet's Stance."
The "Oqaz Poet" title in 2007 at the first Oqaz Market Festival.
