Lucius Annaeus Seneca, philosopher and orator and playwright, wrote his works in Latin, and is considered one of the most prominent advocates of Stoic philosophy, and most of his philosophical and theatrical writings were for this purpose. Among his prose works are what are known as dialogues, which are in fact essays on ethics, relatively short, and their titles indicate their contents, such as: On Divine Providence, On the Endurance of the Wise, On Anger, On a Happy Life, On Mercy, Consolation to Helvia, natural questions, and others.
