Product description

When we write about motherhood, we cannot forget the mothers of Gaza; several articles included in the book were written during the Israeli occupation's attack on Gaza and its targeting of children, in addition to the systematic form of genocide against the people of Gaza. Writing was difficult for many writers, as in the face of death and extermination, all things lose their meaning, including writing. Also, how can the role of motherhood be questioned and changed in a reality where mothers lose their children before their eyes? In truth, this was a different kind of dilemma, a dilemma that hampers the production of alternative visions for a world that reveals its darkest and ugliest face. Despite this, we found that we had no choice but to finish preparing the book, and our expression of anger is not through silence but through writing. In this book, feminists from different backgrounds, ages, and contexts address the issue of motherhood through various theoretical frameworks and perspectives, where the personal blends with the collective, and the historical with the lived reality. The book is "The Dilemma of Motherhood."
