Otar Aquila Red Fava

The Italian company Aquila produces many types of strings for various musical instruments including the Oud. The company has introduced two types of strings based on color variation: the first type is red nylon for the Jowabats and red copper decisions. The second type is new white nylon with silver-white decisions. Both types branch into three tunings: Eastern Do-Do, Iraqi Fa-Fa, and Turkish Re-Re. This type is the Iraqi Fa-Fa tuning, red, with 11 single strings (thick string, Fa decision). The tension is medium. The tunings from bottom to top (from the Jowab to the decision string): Fa - red nylon, Do - red nylon, Sol - red nylon, Re - gray metallic alloy, La - copper metal, Fa - red copper metal. These strings have low flexibility, so it is recommended to wait a week for the tuning to stabilize and for increased flexibility and elasticity. The lifespan of the strings is estimated at 4-6 months.
