Amoxicillin 600 mg in 5 ml, powder of clavulanic potassium for oral suspension contains 42.9 mg of clavulanic acid per 5 ml. Therefore, the 200 mg / 28.5 mg / 5 ml and 400 mg / 57 mg / 5 ml Megamox suspensions should not be replaced with Amoxicillin 600 mg IN 5ML, clavulanic potassium powder for oral suspension because they are not interchangeable. Megamox ES 600 mg should be avoided if infectious mononucleosis is suspected. changes in liver function tests have been observed in some patients receiving it. liver function should be monitored regularly. transient hepatitis and cholestatic jaundice have been reported.
