Product description: Deslen is a non-sedating antihistamine medication. It helps control allergy and its symptoms related to allergic rhinitis, including sneezing, runny nose, itching in the nose, palate, throat, and eyes, or redness and tearing of the eyes. Deslen syrup is also used orally to relieve symptoms associated with urticaria (severe skin itching caused by allergy), including itching and hives. The effect of symptom relief lasts for one day, thus helping with daily work, other activities, and sleeping normally. Usage instructions: Children aged 1 – 5 years: The recommended dose for this age group is 2.5 ml (half a 5 ml teaspoon) orally once daily. Children aged 6 – 11 years: The recommended dose for this age group is 5 ml (one 5 ml teaspoon) orally once daily. Adolescents and adults aged 12 years and above: The recommended dose for this group is 10 ml (two 5 ml teaspoons) orally once daily. Warnings and precautions: Do not take Deslen in the following cases: if you are allergic to desloratadine or any other ingredients of this medication or to "loratadine". You should consult a doctor or pharmacist before starting Deslen if you have impaired or abnormal kidney function. Children and adolescents: Deslen should not be given to children and adolescents under one year of age.
